I learned about the factors that make up theater as not only an art form, but a form of communication. Theater is a mirror of the culture it was written in, and can be used to communicate truths about the world around us. Good theater should ask questions that make you think, and the audience should leave the theater different than when they entered it.

I used all of these perspectives to ask the question, can language ever be neutral? This was something that I realized when I started studying communication and in this essay, the conclusion I arrive at is that it is true that there is no “neutral” language and persuasion can be used for good and bad. For this reason, wise use of communication is key.
